What is Rebase?

Please read this in case you are wondering why the amount of tokens in your wallet increased or decreased

A rebase (or price-elastic) token is designed in a way that the circulating token supply adjusts (increases or decreases) automatically according to a token's price fluctuations. This expansion and contraction is what we call a rebase mechanism. ... The amount of tokens in each wallet will increase or decrease accordingly.

Here is a good explanation of what rebase means

Refresh the chart every few minutes or each time your tokens decrease because it means that the rebase has been done and if you won't refresh you're going to be shown both wrong amount of tokens, supply and market cap.

The point of rebase is to make the chart always go up, it doesn't matter if people are selling - it's still going to have an upwards trend.

So what does rebase really does?

Each time a rebase happens the supply gets decreased and the amount of tokens you hold gets decreased but the worth of these tokens increase so even though you hold less tokens the percentage you hold of the supply never changes so you never lose any money. It just makes the chart go up but you never lose any money.

Market cap

The only thing you should be focusing on is market cap. Everything else is false. If you bought 1 BNB worth of tokens at 100k market cap then at 200k market cap you'll have 2 BNB worth of tokens. If it will go down you'll have less. Market cap is affected only by buy/sell volume and isn't affected by rebase in any way.

Focus only on the market cap!!!
